I have over thirty years experience in computing, including digital, and analogue electronics, robotics, programming, system configuration, and system administration. I can remember owning a Sinclair ZX81, when file storage was hit or miss on an audio cassette, and the only screen output was a television in mono, and If i recall correctly, it came with a massive 1K of memory. Then moving on to the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, and then PC's with dos, then msdos, followed by Windows, and Linux.

I have been building PC's and Servers for myself, and customers for over twenty years, as well as installing, and configuring networks, and all kinds of computer related equipment.

Before access to the Internet became widely available, I remember using Bulletin Board Systems, CompuServe, and America Online to share files and exchange messages connecting via modems and phone lines. As far as I recall everything was text only until Mosaic, and Netscape web browsers appeared as GUI's in the early 1990's.

I have been building websites since the 1990's, starting with the good old text editor, I have been working with Joomla, its components, modules, plugins and templates since it evolved as a fork of Mambo in 2005, prior to that I gained several years CMS experience with Mambo and also Typo3.

I have now built, managed, and worked on several hundred Joomla sites, and have become a Joomla Specialist, taking on all kinds of Joomla related projects, including building new websites, migrating existing websites to Joomla, troubleshooting existing Joomla sites, maintaining, backing up and updating Joomla sites, fixing server, hosting, and security related issues, and developing custom extensions.

I have existing live sites, and also sites to test modifications prior to adding them to my customers sites. I also have a lot of experience moving Joomla sites from one host to another. I am experienced with stand alone Joomla sites on linux servers, dedicated linux servers, vps, and also Joomla sites within Cpanel and Plesk environments.

I have trained a small team, who along with myself manage and take care of Joomla sites, and their servers 12-16 hours a day, usually 7 days a week. We sucessfully manage and maintain several hundred Joomla suites, both for end users, and for other developers.

This enables us to work very efficiently as lots of issues with versions, updates, templates, menus, components, modules, and plugins are common on many installations.
